I have always been an active person. In high school I participated and competed in cheerleading, tumbling, track, powderpuff football and weightlifting as well. After high school I attended College at Coastal Carolina University and obtained a Bachelors in Biology and a Masters Degree in Teaching. During college, I gained an interest in bodybuilding and lifted regularly until I had my first daughter at 32 years old. As parenthood came along I found myself not quite as active as I was once before. I still had a strong passion for fitness and wanted to be a positive role model for my daughter. I dabbled in CrossFit with my husband for the past few years and realized it had become a lifestyle. Today I have three children and work as a full-time High School Science Teacher while also coaching as CFMB with my CFL1.
You can find me coaching and working out at CrossFit Myrtle Beach, which is co-owned and operated by my husband and his partners. While I’m unable to exercise as much as I’d like these days, my primary goal now is family and balance. I’m proud to have the opportunity to inspire others at CFMB by proving that there is still time to work, parent and be fit!
